Update 2/8/13: There are

Update 2/8/13: There are still a couple of spots open for Saturday trips.
Wanted to let everybody know that you can still come to the SERA Winter Business Meeting next weekend even if you didn't preregister. Most of the trips have already filled up, but we have plenty of parking and camping, and there is still room for people to attend the meeting. If you plan to eat at the banquet, or attend the meeting, and you have not preregistered, please send me an email so that I can include you in the final head count that we give to the caterer. We want to make sure we have enough food!

It looks like we are going to have nice weather next weekend! Hope to see everyone there.

We have an excellent menu in

We have an excellent menu in place for the event.

The Nashville Grotto will be providing lunch for the Saturday meeting free of charge to anyone attending the SERA Winter Business Meeting. We should have plenty of food, with a satisfying salad, chili (both vegetarian and carnivorous options), with plenty of toppings, some sides, beverages, and snacks. We will also have coffee to keep everyone warm and alert throughout the event.

The banquet menu is pulled pork or chicken breast, baked beans & potato salad; stuffed bell pepper for vegetarians, along with all of the standard beverages. Should be a great meal, and a great time with all of the guest speakers!

We have an unannounced trip that will be lead by Larry Matthews on Saturday from 3:00-5:00. He will be pointing out historical names, locations, and other stories of Cumberland Caverns. There is no charge for the tour, but space is limited. Look for the sign-up sheet at registration.

As of 2/13/13, we still have a couple of Saturday trip spots left open. Those will be first come, first served at the event, and a waiting list is available for others in case there are any cancellations.

Don't forget about the SKTF cave cleanup inside Cumberland Caverns on Sunday at 9:00 am. This is a great chance to help out a little, and get a free cave trip in at the same time! Lunch and beverages will be provided by Cumberland Caverns. Trash bags and gloves will be provided. Don't forget to bring standard cave gear, including helmet and lights.

Afraid that the weather might turn a little cold for you? Camp out inside the cave for only $15 a night! Outside camping is free. We will have a fire going outside in the pavilion for as late as people want to stay out. If the weather gets too bad, look for signs to Tank's cabin. Registration will be open Friday afternoon starting around 3:00. Please plan to arrive by 11:00 pm if you want to sleep inside the cave Friday night. We will move registration inside the cave when the meeting starts on Saturday (in case you are running late).

Looking forward to a great weekend. Hope to see everyone there!
