Was reading the Matthews text and the map of the cave looks interesting. Has anyone been to this cave recently? Are there access issues, or does anyone know the owner? Is the cave worth checking out?

The cave entrance is in plain sight from the road and is right next to the owner's house.

It's sort of a mudhole, but I bet it's never been pushed to the bitter end. That was the first wild cave I ever went to. No hard hat (Ouch !) and sneakers.

I too have wondered about that one. Seems like I read about it in Barr's book.. drove by to take a look and did not see it in Barr's location, I never followed through. I would be interested to know more about it.

View it in street view, to the left of the brown house. Looks to me like a cave? Right off of Bull Run Rd in Scottsboro.
