Ashland City bluffs
I was out driving around this weekend, enjoying the awesome weather with my son, and we made a stop at the Ashland City bluffs. I've been telling him that this would be a great place to practice the vertical skills we have been working on. The bluffs feature several rig points allowing for easy, short drops along with some more challenging longer drops. Unfortunately, I had forgotten to grab my tote full of vertical gear!
We went up there to look around anyway, and enjoyed the view of the river down below while I scoped out rig points and discussed plans with my son.
We will be going back sometime soon. If you are interested in going, send me an email so I can let you know when we go. With the unpredictability of nice weather in the winter, we will probably have short notice, but I will try to post something here when we make plans. You must have vertical experience, but we have been practicing on most Wednesday nights in the shop behind my shed. You can work on both rappelling and climbing, or just come to watch.
