Important Safety Recall

Petzl Pirana Recall Images

Petzl has issued a recall of the Pirana 2 descender this week due to a flaw in the new design that could cause a risk of a rope becoming blocked while trying to escape the descender in water. While this does not typically apply to our members (who primarily use racks or bobbins) the Pirana is popular amongst some groups especially canyoneering. You can get a full refund by contacting Petzl with the serial number of your device. A return shipping label will be issued and you simply drop it in the mail and they will issue a refund when it is received.
